THE GUARDED HARVEST PROJECT
Field Visits & Deployment
Advancing regenerative agriculture in Nakuru
Supporting smallholder farmers through research, education, soil health initiatives, post-harvest solutions, and sustainable agricultural development across the Rift Valley region.
March 2025 Research Visit
Field assessments and farmer interviews revealed critical challenges affecting maize production, including poor soil management, post-harvest losses, limited mechanization, and financial insecurity. This visit established the foundation for future interventions and regenerative farming strategies.
September 2025 Implementation Visit
The project transitioned from research into action through the deployment of solar dryers, mobile threshers, soil testing equipment, hermetic storage systems, and agripreneur training programs designed to strengthen food security and reduce crop losses.
